Engineer I, Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

ASM is seeking an Engineer I in Manufacturing Engineering to turn advanced designs into high‑quality semiconductor equipment. You will support daily manufacturing operations, learn complex assembly and test processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in a high‑tech production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Global Operations (GOPS) teams on manufacturing processes, cycle time, assembly/test sequences, and quality.
• Provide first‑line engineering support to resolve daily operational issues in semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
• Achieve product delivery targets while adhering to engineering strategies, schedules, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct systematic troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and implement both immediate containment and long‑term corrective actions.
• Define and create manufacturing procedures, work instructions, test procedures, and inspection checklists.
• Coordinate solutions with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects focused on quality, cost, capacity, and efficiency.
• Deliver tooling and test equipment that meet product requirements and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
