Engineering Intern, HVAC

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an Engineering Intern for its Project Delivery team in Southeast Asia, reporting to the HVAC team. The intern supports customer proposals, project plans and engineering design documentation, working closely with stakeholders to identify project requirements and develop proposals including costing, durations and required resources. The position is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize composite components and models, and develop drawings, designs and schematics, including 3D modelling of finished goods and tooling
• Analyze blueprints, plans and customer documents to identify and propose requirements
• Generate cost estimates based on project requirements
• Support project findings, operation training, closing and handover processes
• Act as a liaison between internal and external project stakeholders

Required profile

• Pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a built environment field such as electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering
• Prior experience and/or interest in building management systems and thermodynamics
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of 6 months
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
