Executive / Senior Executive – Assistant Manager, Cargo Standards Development

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and governance of cargo industry quality standards and performance initiatives. This role drives continuous improvement in service excellence and customer experience across the cargo network, working closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Cargo iQ Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with IATA Cargo iQ certification standards.
• Prepare, coordinate, and complete Cargo iQ audits conducted by external auditors.
• Maintain and enhance the Cargo iQ Quality Manual, training materials, and related operational procedures.
• Drive adoption of industry best practices and quality standards across the cargo network.
• Establish, monitor, and govern divisional Cargo iQ performance KPIs, focusing on critical shipment milestones.
• Oversee the quality and integrity of Cargo iQ milestone data received from service providers.
• Investigate recurring irregularities, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective measures.
• Manage disputes from stations regarding Cargo iQ performance metrics.
• Lead validation and testing of Cargo iQ‑related messaging with new ground handling agents and service providers.
• Engage regularly with Cargo iQ forwarders and global partners on data quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Generate monthly performance scorecards and recommend corrective actions.
• Serve as Business Owner and Custodian of AXIS and SQ Ops Portal, overseeing governance, performance, and enhancements.
• Champion user adoption, collect feedback, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for portal updates.
