Experienced Cyber Security Audit Associate

About the role

PwC’s Risk Services practice is seeking an Experienced Cyber Security Audit Associate to join its Technology Risk Services team. The role involves helping clients improve their security posture through risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews, leveraging advanced technology and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the audit team to deliver comprehensive cybersecurity services.
• Plan and execute technology and cybersecurity audits, gathering evidence and documentation.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT controls related to data security.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities in IT systems and processes.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Conduct compliance reviews against standards such as CSA Cybersecurity Codes of Practice and ISO 27001.
• Participate in cyber‑simulation exercises and support projects that enhance client cybersecurity posture.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity audit or risk assessment, suitable for a Senior Associate level.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with client teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards.
• Familiarity with CSA Cybersecurity Codes of Practice (CSA CCoP).
• Experience conducting IT security audits and cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Understanding of technology regulatory compliance requirements.
