Export Customer Service Officer – Airfreight

About the role

The Export Customer Service Officer (Airfreight) provides front‑line support to customers, ensuring timely and accurate information on export shipments. You will act as the primary point of contact, handling enquiries, flight details and documentation compliance in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide flight details to customers within one hour of booking receipt.
• Verify export document compliance and apply correct export permits promptly.
• Answer all incoming calls within three rings and monitor onboard status, notifying customers of any irregularities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date airfreight rates and incorporate new airline or governmental requirements.
• Submit monthly customer reports on schedule.
• Liaise with internal teams (operations, warehouse, traffic, planning) and external stakeholders to track shipment status.
• Ensure shipments are accounted for and processed according to SOPs.
• Collaborate with sales and other functions for special arrangements.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in export or airfreight customer service.
• Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
