Fab Production Control Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Fab Production Control Engineer to drive operational excellence in semiconductor fabrication. You will coordinate product releases, reduce manufacturing costs, and ensure high product quality while supporting a supportive work culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer order intake, commitment, on‑time delivery (OTD) and CLIP metrics.
• Create and maintain customer work orders and oversee inventory management to meet contractual agreements.
• Develop and implement wafer start plans, coordinating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Hardware and IE to meet shipment goals.
• Act as liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Hardware, Quality and other teams to resolve RMA issues.
• Analyze production data, generate management reports, and ensure system data accuracy.
• Utilize lean principles, automation and continuous improvement to enhance productivity and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Experience with SAP software and familiarity with semiconductor fabrication operations.
• Understanding of cross‑functional team coordination to achieve objectives.
• Leadership ability to guide junior team members and allocate work.
• Strong problem‑solving judgment to address unprecedented issues.
• Impactful contribution to own team and related teams.
• Effective interpersonal communication with tact and diplomacy.
