Facilities Specialist

About the role

As a Facilities Specialist you will maintain and manage critical facility infrastructure and systems across our Singapore sites, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to keep building services running smoothly and support our mission to enable scientific breakthroughs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage critical facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and specialized laboratory/production equipment.
• Oversee daily operations, coordinate maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships, maintain accurate documentation and lead facility improvement projects.
• Support emergency response, participate in audit preparation and uphold GMP/GxP standards.
• Ensure optimal performance of building systems such as clean utilities and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related) with at least 2 years of facilities or engineering experience in a regulated environment, or a Diploma/Tertiary qualification with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Technical certifications in building systems, GMP or facilities management are preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, work flexible hours and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance and ability to respond to emergencies promptly.
• Fluent English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, clean utilities and Building Management Systems.
• Experience with GMP/GxP requirements and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Project management, stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and regulatory documents.
• Budget management and cost‑control skills.
