Facilities Technician

About the role

The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of building systems and equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance. You will work on a variety of mechanical and electrical assets, performing inspections, troubleshooting faults and supporting daily maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and building systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment faults to minimise downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing and system diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare service reports.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to support maintenance operations.
• Comply with workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• NITEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant maintenance experience is an advantage.
