Field Service Engineer

About the role

Benchmark Electronics Singapore is seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer to provide on‑site technical support for its electronic products. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to diagnose, repair, and improve equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate equipment for on‑site troubleshooting and analysis.
• Review work orders and documentation to define tasks and coordinate with internal technical representatives and customer contacts.
• Assist with hardware installation, test mechanical and electrical components, and replace faulty parts as needed.
• Track and trend on‑site problem detection, provide technical recommendations, and support product reliability improvements.
• Train customer staff and lower‑level technicians, and collaborate with senior engineers on complex issues.
• Monitor assemblies for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) concerns and feed back to appropriate channels.

Required profile

• Nitec or Higher Nitec in Engineering with 1‑2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates welcome).
• Diploma in Engineering candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Strong analytical mindset, good communication with customers and internal teams, and a commitment to quality.
