Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our client’s finance team in Singapore. The role combines financial planning & analysis, business partnering, and ERP expertise to drive strategic growth and support decision‑making across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly FP&A reporting, including management commentary and senior leadership presentations.
• Develop financial models, evaluate business cases, and analyse pricing, new product development and market expansion opportunities.
• Monitor spending trends, identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Review financial results across group entities for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Analyse production cost variances, identify root causes and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
• Serve as the SAP Business One subject‑matter expert, overseeing master data, system configuration, mapping and user access.
• Coordinate with IT and external vendors to resolve system issues and minimise disruption.
• Support month‑end, year‑end, tax, audit and statutory reporting processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and governance frameworks.
• Drive finance process improvements, automation initiatives and SAP Business One optimisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field; CA (Singapore), ACCA or CPA preferred.
• At least 5 years of finance experience with strong exposure to FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business partnering.
• Good understanding of manufacturing finance, costing and variance analysis.
• Detail‑oriented, hands‑on and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Strong experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP Business One and Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to build financial models.
• Experience with automation or AI tools is an advantage.
