Finance Executive – General Ledger (Contract)

About the role

This contract position supports the General Ledger team in daily finance operations and month‑end closing activities. You will ensure the accuracy of balance‑sheet accounts and liaise with auditors and tax agents.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist the General Ledger team with daily accounting tasks.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing, preparing financial reports and audit schedules.
• Review and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, journal entries, and internal charge requests.
• Monitor bank reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and resolve finance queries.
• Prepare GST submissions, statutory reports, and other regulatory filings.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, tax agents, and stakeholders on audit and tax matters.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional finance teams to address accounting and reporting issues.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency.
• Handle ad‑hoc finance duties and projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in General Ledger, financial reporting, or accounting operations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
