Finance Manager

About the role

Coface is looking for a Finance Manager in Singapore, acting as a trusted advisor to the business by turning financial data into insights and partnering with stakeholders to drive performance while meeting regulatory, accounting and governance requirements. The role reports directly to the Regional CFO SEA & India.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end financial controlling and accounting for Coface Singapore (two legal entities: the branch and Coface Services South Asia Pacific)
• Oversee submission of Singapore Branch regulatory requirements to the Monetary Authority of Singapore and work closely with the Actuarial team
• Provide regular business updates to the CEO and Regional CFO, and give financial insights that shape decisions and steer performance
• Lead financial planning and analysis: prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, analyse variances against budget, prior year and run rate
• Act as a sparring partner with non-finance stakeholders on risks and opportunities, escalating issues to the right channels
• Lead, coach and guide a team of three (two in Singapore, one in Thailand) to deliver regulatory submissions, audit and tax compliance, group reporting, payment approvals and procurement
• Drive process simplification and efficiency with the Shared Service Center in Bangalore, and collaborate with finance colleagues across SEA & India

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance or accounting
• Minimum 7 years of experience in FP&A or controlling
• FP&A, controlling or audit experience in multinational corporations preferred
• Team leadership experience is an added advantage but not required
• CPA Australia, ACCA or CA Singapore certification is a plus but not required
