Finance Systems & Operations Intern

About the role

BeeX is seeking a Finance Systems & Operations Intern to support the Finance team during an accounting system migration and day‑to‑day finance operations. The role is hands‑on, data‑focused and ideal for a detail‑oriented student who enjoys solving problems and learning how a deep‑tech startup scales its financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support migration of financial data from the existing accounting system to a new platform.
• Review and validate migrated data for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform reconciliations between the old and new accounting systems.
• Maintain migration trackers, documentation and supporting schedules.
• Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking and expense management.
• Prepare financial schedules, reports and analysis for stakeholders.
• Help with month‑end closing activities and build Excel/Google Sheets trackers and financial models.
• Research and compile financial information for various requests, including audit and tax support.
• Take on new projects as the company grows and priorities evolve.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfortable learning new software and systems quickly.
• Proactive, resourceful and willing to get hands‑on in a fast‑paced startup environment.
