Financial Accountant – Accounting & Reporting

About the role

The role is responsible for end‑to‑end financial accounting and reporting for TotalEnergies Singapore Services, ensuring accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, while supporting statutory and tax compliance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments and collections.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, monitor goods receipt notes, open purchase orders and intercompany settlements.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and produce financial reports for management and group reporting.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements, annual audits, tax filings and ensure compliance with local accounting standards, IFRS and Group policies.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant, CPA or ACCA) preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational or complex environment.
• Experience with shared‑service models and multiple entities or international operations.
• Strong command of English and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Understanding of SOX internal‑control requirements.
• Experience in tax filing (GST/VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax).
