Financial Accountant – IFRS & SAP

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to ensure accurate month‑end closing, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and compliance for an assigned legal entity. The role supports IFRS‑compliant reporting within SAP, maintains accounting integrity, and assists the Myanmar branch with tax and governance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare SAP segmental reporting, monthly and quarterly closing schedules, and corporate reporting deliverables.
• Compile related‑party audit schedules, tax schedules, and notes to the financial statements.
• Support tax reporting, tax queries, and J‑SOX compliance.
• Forecast inventory balances, perform monthly reconciliations, and investigate variances.
• Conduct year‑end stock counts, auditor reconciliations, and manage inventory provisions, write‑offs, and disposals.
• Execute monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, support external audits, and prepare loan schedules and interest calculations.
• E‑file withholding tax returns, reconcile WHT balances, and review bank reconciliations, employee claims, and GST submissions.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and support internal‑control initiatives.
• Manage annual financial closing for the Myanmar branch and ensure local tax and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA UAT, finance‑related projects, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia, ICPAS, or equivalent).
• 1–3 years of experience in management accounting, financial reporting, or accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, audit, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience supporting J‑SOX compliance and internal controls.
