Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Singapore finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with colleagues in Melbourne and Cyprus to manage the end‑to‑end accounting for the Singapore entity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end and year‑end close, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments, fixed‑asset registers and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
• Compile the annual unaudited financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards for Small Entities and handle audit exemption assessments.
• File quarterly GST returns, support corporate tax computations and manage statutory filings with IRAS and ACRA, including annual returns and XBRL statements.
• Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and cash‑flow reporting, ensuring all control accounts are reconciled monthly.
• Update finance procedures, strengthen internal controls and deliver at least two documented process or automation improvements each year.

Required profile

• Experience handling full sets of accounts independently, including month‑end close.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and the Singapore Companies Act.
• Ability to work collaboratively across time zones with teams in Melbourne, Manila and Cyprus.
