Financial Analyst (AGS Operations)

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, creating equipment essential for AI and next‑generation semiconductor chips. The Financial Analyst (AGS Operations) will support APAC operations finance activities, working from our Singapore location within a supportive, growth‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Complete detailed analysis and commentary for finance and non‑finance executives.
• Develop complex financial models to support strategic plans, business sizing and performance management.
• Perform close, flash or commit activities with minimal oversight on recurring tasks.
• Present analytical findings to stakeholders and act as a business partner with non‑finance management.
• Support APAC operations finance activities related to inventory, costing, repairs and TKM‑related topics.
• Serve as first point of contact for level‑1 queries from APAC business partners and route or escalate complex issues.
• Build working knowledge of returns processes and help define problem statements and gaps.
• Support inventory‑related decision making for APAC legal entities through analysis, research and cross‑functional coordination.
• Partner with APAC operations leaders, tactical teams and finance counterparts to improve responsiveness and decision speed.
• Provide project‑management support for cross‑functional and cross‑segment initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Familiarity with supply‑chain‑related financial concepts.
• Experience with SAP and Tableau or other data‑analytics tools.
• Strong project‑management, communication and stakeholder‑coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively across regions and time zones.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Familiarity with APAC customs is a plus.
• Experience in semiconductor, supply‑chain or manufacturing environments.
