Financial Analyst

About the role

A leading ship management company is expanding its finance team in Singapore and seeks a Financial Analyst to support performance monitoring, reporting and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, management accounts, and operational metrics to evaluate business performance, identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor key operational and financial KPIs, conduct variance analysis, and investigate performance gaps against budgets, forecasts, and agreed targets.
• Prepare and present management reports, business performance reviews, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Review annual budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure proposals, providing financial analysis and supporting management approval processes.
• Perform budget‑versus‑actual analysis, assess profitability, cash flow, and return on investment, and provide recommendations to enhance business performance.
• Support shareholder matters, corporate governance activities, and coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams across finance, operations, commercial, and corporate functions to support strategic initiatives and drive operational and financial improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Business, or related disciplines.
• At least 4‑5 years of professional experience with strong knowledge of financial statement analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work across departments and with global teams.
• Prior industry experience in large‑scale operations or logistics is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Index, Match, VLOOKUP, Waterfall Chart).
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
