Financial Controller – Shared Services Expertise Required

About the role

A global technology platform seeks a senior finance professional to lead group reporting, controllership, compliance, and governance across multiple entities. The role partners closely with a sizeable shared‑services finance team based in India and includes quarterly travel.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off monthly management accounts for the Group and all legal entities.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors during statutory and consolidated audits.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, including AR/AP, accruals, provisions, reserves, and intercompany balances.
• Manage technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition, ESOP accounting, and capitalisation policies.
• Drive finance process improvements, governance initiatives, and internal‑control enhancements.
• Review corporate income‑tax filings, GST/VAT, withholding tax, and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
• Maintain the Group’s transfer‑pricing framework, including intercompany allocations and annual documentation.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, corporate insurance, and corporate secretarial documentation.
• Support fundraising, investor due diligence, and grant‑related applications.
• Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning, and commercial agreement reviews.
• Lead and engage the shared‑services finance team in India, including regular communication and quarterly visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy with CA, CPA, or ACCA qualification.
• 10+ years of finance and controllership experience, preferably with Big 4 training and commercial industry exposure.
• Proven experience managing or partnering with shared‑services finance teams.
