Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist – APAC

About the role

Huawei is seeking a regional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist to support its Finance team across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will play a key role in budget and forecast management, variance analysis, and financial reporting to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts for income statement, operating cash‑flow, and foreign‑currency assets.
• Perform variance analysis, communicate results with regional stakeholders, and identify business drivers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and regional entities to improve budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
• Collect and consolidate complex financial data into reports presented to the CFO.
• Advise on long‑term financial planning and suggest improvements for key financial metrics.
• Manage intercompany transaction settlements and government survey submissions.
• Continuously enhance financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analyses and reports to support management decisions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Accountant, preferably in an audit firm or multinational finance department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within China and the APAC region (≈5% of time).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Python for data analysis.
• Knowledge of Power BI for visual reporting.
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction.
