Financial Planning Analyst – Southeast Asia

About the role
The Financial Planning Analyst will support Southeast Asia financial reporting cycles, providing performance updates, forecasts, and long‑range plans. The role partners with country finance teams and business leaders to drive disciplined analysis and decision‑making across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Support weekly performance updates, monthly forecasts, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans and long‑range planning cycles for Southeast Asia.
- Consolidate regional forecasts and results across sales, orders, backlog, profitability, cash flow, working capital and functional costs.
- Prepare executive‑ready financial reviews, performance narratives and decision‑support materials for regional leadership.
- Partner with country finance teams, equipment and aftermarket leaders to identify risks, opportunities and actions required to meet financial targets.
- Drive consistent financial analysis, reporting discipline and performance‑management routines across Southeast Asia markets.
- Manage the Southeast Asia HQ budget, including actuals tracking, forecast updates, variance analysis and cost‑control actions.
- Support HFM data consolidation, out‑of‑balance reviews, data validation and lock procedures.
- Lead reporting standardisation, process optimisation and automation initiatives to improve quality, speed and scalability.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis, business cases and leadership requests as needed.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related discipline; CPA, ACCA or CFA advantageous.
- 5–8 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, commercial finance or controllership, preferably in a multinational or regional environment.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, variance analysis and business performance management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines accurately in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
- High level of ownership, accountability and follow‑through with strong analytical capability.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Experience with SAP
