Financial Services Assurance – Accountancy Associate

About the role

PwC is seeking an Accountancy Associate to join its Financial Services Assurance practice. You will work with leading asset and wealth management firms, banks, and insurers, helping them maintain trust and transparency in financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit fieldwork and test internal controls across a portfolio of clients using PwC’s global audit methodology.
• Prepare audit working papers and documentation to support audit conclusions.
• Assist in reviewing financial statements for compliance with standards such as SFRS, IFRS, and SSA.
• Liaise with client finance teams to obtain information, resolve queries, and understand business processes.
• Support senior associates, managers, and partners throughout the engagement lifecycle, from planning to reporting.
• Deliver innovative, cost‑effective solutions for financial control, regulatory reporting, and technology‑related audit issues.

Required profile

• Final‑year undergraduate or postgraduate standing in Accountancy from a local or overseas university.
• Strong academic performance with consistency.
• Active involvement in co‑curricular activities, leadership roles, internships, or community initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Positive, proactive mindset and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment.
