Financial Services Consultant – Risk & Regulatory Advisory

About the role

As a key member of Forvis Mazars' Financial Services Consulting practice, you will work on diverse projects focused on risk, regulatory and compliance, helping clients navigate complex international regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits and regulatory compliance reviews for financial institutions together with managers and assistant managers.
• Evaluate internal control frameworks, perform fieldwork and identify design and control gaps to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Provide advisory services on critical risk and regulatory requirements, including anti‑money laundering, conduct, ethics, independence and cybersecurity.
• Analyse findings and recommend improvements to policies, procedures and processes.
• Execute internal audit engagements in line with frameworks such as the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and the Global Internal Audit Standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• Up to 3 years of experience in an international public accounting firm or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of International and MAS regulations (Banking Act, SFA, PSA, AML/CTF, Data Privacy).
• Passion for regulations, risk and compliance, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen interest in the international development of the compliance profession.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International and MAS regulatory frameworks.
• Experience applying internal audit standards such as IPPF and Global Internal Audit Standards.
