Food & Beverage Host

About the role

The Food & Beverage Host welcomes guests, manages reservations and seating, and ensures a smooth dining experience at a Marriott hotel restaurant in Singapore. This full‑time, on‑site role supports both front‑of‑house and basic waiter duties.

Key responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests, escort them to their tables and manage the host stand.
• Handle reservations, maintain the waiting list and estimate wait times.
• Monitor dining sections for empty, cleaned tables and adjust seating for large parties.
• Answer telephone calls, book reservations and coordinate table movements.
• Perform basic waiter tasks such as delivering dishes, clearing and setting tables.
• Facilitate effective communication, uphold workplace safety and health policies.
• Support productivity improvement, quality control and problem‑solving at a supervisory level.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
