Food Runner

About the role

The Food Runner supports the dining operations by transporting prepared dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate service stations or tables. Working closely with the Food Checker, the role ensures that meals reach guests promptly and with the correct accompaniments.

Key responsibilities

• Collect food items from the Food Checker and deliver them to designated service stands or directly to tables.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of condiments, sauces, and serving equipment.
• Assist the Food Checker in coordinating food items and ensuring correct order sequencing.
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals to the dining room.
• Provide appropriate condiments and serving gear with each food item.
• Prepare basic condiments and cook rice as required.
• Clean trays, collect pegs, and keep the service station organized.
• Prepare and package takeaway orders.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the manager.
