Foundation IP Memory Verification Engineer

About the role

Broadcom's Central Engineering Group is looking for energetic and passionate design engineers to join its team developing foundation IP for AI products, including memory compilers, logic cells and custom macros across advanced process technologies. Multiple positions are available at all experience levels.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to memory design validation of custom memory macros and memory compilers
• Perform functional verification, root cause analysis of design discrepancies and help resolve them
• Perform signal integrity analysis, identify design weaknesses and propose solutions
• Run transistor-level simulations to check for power-up or lock-up issues and to validate timing and internal margins
• Perform EM/IR analysis and simulations, and evaluate their impact on timing and margins
• Carry out QA and validation checks to ensure accurate timing and power models
• Develop scripts to automate verification flow and data analysis
• Support silicon debugs and correlate results to SPICE models
• Work with memory designers to improve the memory characterization and validation flow, and coordinate with design, modelling and management leads on the validation plan

Required profile

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Motivated, self-driven, able to multi-task and willing to learn

Required skills

• Transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics
• Signal integrity, EM/IR and reliability analysis
• Running simulators and writing automation scripts
• Memory behavioral and physical models, DFT schemes and chip-level integration are a plus
