Front-End Software Engineer – 1 Year Fixed‑Term

About the role

Activate Interactive is looking for a Front‑End Software Engineer to join its Co‑Development Business Unit on a 1‑year fixed‑term contract. You will design, develop and maintain high‑performance web applications for Singapore government agencies, ensuring an excellent user experience and strong security.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate user stories into technical requirements.
• Work with QA engineers to achieve automated test coverage and resolve bugs promptly.
• Partner with DevOps to automate build, deployment and release pipelines.
• Design, develop and maintain responsive, accessible web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Implement frontend best practices such as component reusability, performance optimisation and accessibility.
• Apply Extreme Programming practices including pair programming, code reviews and unit testing.
• Enforce security standards to protect against XSS, CSRF and related vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Experience with Git and modern branching workflows (GitFlow, trunk‑based development).
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
