Frontend Software Engineer – Global Live (Revenue)

About the role

Join TikTok's Live Revenue team to build and optimise high‑performance, real‑time infrastructure for live streaming. You will shape critical product features and collaborate closely with product managers to deliver an exceptional experience for millions of live streamers and viewers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop user interfaces for TikTok Live on PC and mobile devices, covering middle‑platform, operating platform, user products, and multi‑scale events.
• Build engineering solutions and infrastructure that support TikTok Live’s business tools and productivity platforms.
• Create high‑quality designs and code to enhance the overall user experience and drive growth of the TikTok Live ecosystem.
• Implement efficient collaboration methods to improve remote and cross‑regional communication.
• Maintain and evolve large‑scale front‑end applications, ensuring performance and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a computing‑related field.
• Minimum of 3 + years of front‑end development experience.
• Strong understanding of browser operating principles and ability to develop independently without relying solely on libraries.
• Familiarity with front‑end engineering, modularisation, and large‑scale application maintenance.
• Experience with debugging and testing tools, and solid problem‑solving skills.
