General Ledger Accountant (MNC)

About the role

A Global Leader in Technology Infrastructure, Supply Chain, Communications and Data Centre Solutions is recruiting a General Ledger Accountant in Singapore through its recruiter Michael Page. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role supports month-end close, maintains financial records and ensures the accuracy of accounting transactions, offering broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, compliance and business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist in preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets and management reports
• Review budgets, monitor expenditure and support cost control initiatives
• Resolve accounting issues with internal stakeholders and support internal and external audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and corporate policies
• Take part in finance transformation, system implementation and process improvement projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
