General Manager – Japanese Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Japanese restaurant outlets across Singapore. The role combines full P&L responsibility with hands‑on oversight of both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, ensuring consistent brand standards and profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own full P&L for assigned outlet(s), managing revenue, food cost and labour cost.
• Supervise daily front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities to maintain service quality.
• Recruit, train, schedule and evaluate outlet staff.
• Ensure compliance with SFA food hygiene, licensing and MOM regulations (Progressive Wage Model, work‑pass quotas).
• Develop and enforce SOPs to guarantee brand consistency.
• Drive sales and marketing initiatives in partnership with headquarters, including promotions, delivery platforms and media collaborations.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
• Monitor customer feedback, respond to online reviews and resolve service escalations.
• Prepare monthly operational and financial reports for senior management.
• Support new outlet openings and expansion projects.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of F&B management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or multi‑unit role.
• Previous experience in a Japanese restaurant concept is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore F&B regulatory requirements (SFA, MOM/PWM).
• Proven track record in P&L and cost management.
• Bilingual in English and Japanese is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as per restaurant operating hours.
