General Technician – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The General Technician supports gas turbine component repairs by performing hand‑skilled processes and operating specialised machines and test equipment. Reporting to the Operations Leader, the role ensures product quality and production efficiency in a rotating shift environment.

Key responsibilities

• Blend and polish metal and coating surfaces.
• Perform manual drilling for cooling‑hole re‑opening.
• Operate test equipment such as airflow, waterflow and moment weighing devices.
• Run machines including robotic polishers, shot peening units and cold‑spraying systems.
• Maintain product quality, equipment care, production output, housekeeping and schedules.
• Adhere to all EHS rules and promptly report unsafe conditions.
• Support other areas of work as assigned.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education or higher; professional certificate/NiTEC in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred, but candidates without experience may be considered.
• Experience using pneumatic or powered hand tools.
• Basic command of English (spoken and read).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
