Global Facilities Project Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a Global Facilities Project Engineer for its Fab 10A site. The engineer leads the new construction project planning process, working with stakeholders to define objectives and deliverables and keeping the project on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the new construction project planning process.
• Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables with stakeholders, aligned to user requirements.
• Prepare space, cost and schedule reports and long-term plans for management review.
• Develop and manage initial schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Maintain communication with the project team and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Ensure roles, responsibilities and accountabilities are clear to the project team.
• Collect, classify and evaluate data used in the project planning evaluation request.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a recognised institution.
• At least 3 years' experience in project management, including large-scale construction projects, preferably semiconductor fab or facilities construction in high-tech, pharmaceutical, oil and gas industries.
• Demonstrable experience in construction or semiconductor project management is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial understanding of cost estimates, budgeting and cost control, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approvals is highly valued.
• Relevant professional certification such as PMP or LEED is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, construction project management software, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate and motivate stakeholders across departments and to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted tools into daily work, and contributing to continuous improvement.
