Global Talent Sourcing Intern

About the role

Tencent is building its own in-house sourcing hub to streamline recruitment and strengthen its talent acquisition capabilities. It is looking for motivated interns interested in recruiting who want to learn more about talent identification and acquisition. The intern works with the hiring team on open positions and supports the sourcing function.

Key responsibilities

• Work with hiring teams to understand their needs and the qualifications needed for open positions
• Research the market to find where candidates can be found, how to engage them and what industry trends matter
• Build and maintain talent pools and candidate pipelines for evergreen positions across platforms and groups
• Reach out to potential candidates by email, social media or phone to gauge interest and share opportunities
• Generate referrals by encouraging candidates and employees to refer qualified people
• Report on and analyse sourcing projects, such as conversion rates, and suggest improvements to the sourcing process

Required profile

• Undergraduate or master's degree student in Human Resources or an equivalent field
• Ideally prior recruitment or sourcing experience, including exposure to Boolean searches
• Ability to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role involves meetings and written materials in both languages with global teams and Chinese headquarters stakeholders
