Graduate Solutions Engineer – Smart Buildings & Data Centers

About the role

JCI's Graduate Solutions Engineer Program develops future engineering leaders for smart buildings, data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. It is an 18-month rotational program covering electrical, mechanical, controls and digital domains, with hands-on work alongside experienced engineers and subject matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement control programming for new or existing BMS sites on the BMS Project/Service team
• Perform chiller performance reviews, audit reporting and maintenance on the HVAC Energy Solution/Service team
• Implement and deliver JCI's OpenBlue digital solutions with the digital delivery and solution architect team
• Take part in data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects, including cooling systems and sustainability initiatives
• Join research projects with external partners through the JCI Innovation Center and complete a full-cycle project in the final year
• Collaborate across functions and receive mentoring and coaching

Required profile

• Graduating student or recent graduate with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Infrastructure and Project Management, Urban Systems/Energy Management or a related field, with up to 2 years of experience
• Strong interest in sustainability and smart building solutions
• Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, able to view challenges from both electrical and mechanical angles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, adaptable to a collaborative environment
