Group Financial Controller – Portfolio Management

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead finance operations for an international private‑equity portfolio across multiple countries. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines controllership, cash‑flow oversight, and strategic finance partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership on group strategy, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning.
• Own group cash flow, liquidity, capital allocation and capex planning.
• Oversee group‑wide management reporting, consolidation and preparation of financial statements.
• Manage multi‑entity accounting, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and tax matters.
• Lead external audits and ensure timely, compliant financial reporting.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls and financial policies across the group.
• Drive process improvements, standardisation and operational efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives such as investments, divestments and cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent), preferably with Big 4 experience.
• 15+ years of finance experience, including senior controllership roles.
• Proven experience at a group level with multi‑entity and regional exposure.
• Strong exposure to cash‑flow management, capex and treasury functions.
• Experience in a PE‑backed, holding‑company or investment‑platform environment is a plus.
• Commercially minded, resilient and hands‑on with senior stakeholder partnering ability.
