About the role

The Growth & Platform Management Specialist is a hybrid role that blends strategic design with daily execution of digital audience growth initiatives. Reporting to the Editor/Associate Editor, you will turn casual readers into an engaged, loyal community by combining editorial judgment with data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage homepage curation, story queues and tickers while ensuring quality control of all digital content.
• Schedule and deploy targeted push notifications and produce daily newsletters to drive direct traffic.
• Implement recirculation strategies such as related‑article modules and personalized recommendations to increase time‑spent‑on‑site.
• Translate audience insights into actionable strategies for new content formats and distribution channels.
• Execute SEO best practices, keyword management and explore emerging channels like Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Support loyalty programmes (Subscription team, ZB Club, ZB Rewards) through optimized digital touchpoints.
• Identify and champion new product features, pilot AI tools and advise the newsroom on high‑engagement content packaging.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in digital content, audience development or newsroom production.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (written and spoken) to support Chinese publications.
• Exceptional editorial judgment, copywriting ability and a strong eye for visual curation.
• Deep understanding of CMS, publishing tools and digital content strategy including SEO and loyalty programmes.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data dashboards for daily and long‑term decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate under pressure across editorial and technical teams.
