Head of Cafe Operations

About the role

The Head of Cafe Operations will lead and oversee the performance of all café outlets across Singapore. This senior role is responsible for driving sales, profitability, and maintaining high standards of customer service and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and performance of all café outlets.
• Establish and maintain consistent operating, service and product‑quality standards.
• Develop operational strategies to improve sales, profitability and customer experience.
• Set outlet targets and regularly review sales, labour costs, expenses and productivity.
• Train, coach and supervise café managers, supervisors and service teams.
• Plan staffing requirements and create staff schedules.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, stock variances, food costs and wastage.
• Conduct regular outlet inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Review customer feedback and resolve serious or recurring service issues.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to maintain product availability and quality.
• Coordinate with marketing on promotions, product launches and customer‑engagement activities.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, licensing and company requirements.
• Prepare and present operational and financial performance reports to senior management.

Required profile

• At least five years of café, restaurant or multi‑outlet operations experience, including three years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead managers and large operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of café operations, customer service, food safety and cost control.
• Commercially driven with strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work weekends.
