About the role

The Head of Risk Operations (WRB) will lead the credit initiation and fraud risk management functions for Standard Chartered Bank Singapore. This senior management position is responsible for embedding the bank’s strategic initiatives, driving digital onboarding, and ensuring robust risk culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic agenda for Credit Risk Operations and Fraud Risk Management.
• Lead end‑to‑end client onboarding, ensuring credit quality, client experience and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and develop underwriting and fraud risk teams to meet business objectives.
• Align risk strategies with the bank’s overall risk appetite and business plans.
• Embed digital solutions, automation and Right‑Shoring principles to accelerate credit decisions.
• Represent the function in country committees and senior management forums.
• Ensure credit policies and fraud risk frameworks are effectively communicated and applied across products and channels.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit risk, underwriting and fraud risk management within banking.
• Proven leadership of senior teams and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, group policies and risk culture.
• Track record of delivering digital transformation and process optimisation.
