Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Hotel Maintenance Technician supports the Engineering team in keeping the hotel’s facilities, equipment and systems operating safely and efficiently. This position ensures that all guest areas and back‑of‑house services run without interruption through proactive and reactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room defects.
• Monitor and test emergency and backup systems, including generators and fire prevention equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised servicing or repairs.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives and utility monitoring.
• Assist with set‑up and maintenance for banquets, events and renovation projects.

Required profile

• Experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance covering electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment faults and perform corrective actions quickly.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, fire safety procedures and local engineering standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with all hotel departments.
