Housekeeping Specialist – Hospital Environment

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Housekeeping Specialist to maintain a clean and safe environment across our hospital facilities in Singapore. The role involves thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation of patient areas while adhering to strict infection‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient beds, furniture, fixtures, and high‑touch surfaces after transfers or discharges.
• Perform comprehensive room cleaning, including under‑bed cleaning, toilet washing, floor dusting, mopping, and waste disposal.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot hospital‑grade cleaning machines and tools.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Manage inventory of specialised disinfectants, sterilisation agents, and cleaning supplies.
• Ensure compliance with hospital infection‑control policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory usage.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and handle loads up to 30 kg safely.
• Independent, efficient work style with the ability to meet KPI‑driven turnaround times.
• Willingness to work a 6‑day rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating hospital cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of infection‑control and sanitation procedures.
• Basic inventory management skills.
