HR Intern

About the role

Hitachi Rail Singapore, which develops rail signalling and safety solutions, is recruiting an HR Intern (reference R0140800) in Central Singapore. The intern supports the team with talent strategy initiatives and gains hands-on experience in HR operations. The internship lasts 6 months and is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Talent strategy: research and connect with potential talent sources and build applicant pipelines
• Coordinate and take part in career fairs, and plan and run engagement and networking events for current interns
• Design and run end-of-internship surveys and feedback sessions, analyse results and recommend improvements to the internship program
• Maintain engagement with students after the internship for future talent opportunities
• Create collateral for internal job fairs and announcements to promote internal mobility
• HR operations: assist with onboarding and offboarding, manage probation and confirmation processes, support process improvement projects, prepare HR reports and handle employee queries
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good organisational skills and ability to multitask
• Independent, proactive, self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Commitment to a 6-month internship
• Experience in creative design and digital content creation (video, posters, presentations) is an added advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
