HR Specialist – APAC (1‑Year Contract)

About the role
We are looking for an HR Specialist to manage the full employee lifecycle across the APAC region on a 1‑year contract. The role will support onboarding, promotions, transfers, leave administration and off‑boarding while ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes across APAC, including onboarding, movements, promotions, transfers, contract amendments, leave administration and off‑boarding.
- Coordinate and administer HR documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Prepare, review and maintain employment contracts, employee letters and organizational change documents.
- Maintain accurate, secure employee files in line with data‑privacy and retention requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing audit‑ready documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely processing of employee changes.
- Act as point of contact for employees and managers on HR operational matters.
- Assist with employee‑relations investigations and follow‑up actions.
- Coordinate performance‑management cycles and other annual HR processes.
- Monitor compliance with local labour laws, internal policies and governance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Support HR projects, organisational changes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistent execution of HR standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, performance management and employment practices.
- Proven ability to work independently, own priorities and deliver with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Agile and adaptable to changing business priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
Required skills
- Japanese proficiency (preferred)
