HRIS Security Business Analyst (Workday)

About the role

DBS is looking for an experienced Workday professional to act as a key custodian of its Workday platform after expanding it to cover both Financials and HCM. The role covers Workday security, platform governance, shared setup administration and operational controls across HR and Finance, while also taking part in enhancements, configuration and project delivery. It suits someone who enjoys understanding how Workday works behind the scenes and wants to deepen expertise in security architecture, governance, risk controls and platform operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for Workday security architecture across Financials and HCM, and design, maintain and review security domains, security groups, business process security policies and role assignments.
• Perform security impact assessments and recommend access controls for new solutions, and support user provisioning, privileged access, segregation of duties reviews and audit investigations.
• Strengthen security governance, data protection and regulatory compliance controls.
• Administer shared platform setup across Prod and SBX tenants, including BPs, reference data, custom objects, dashboards and shared setup components.
• Manage tenant comparisons, impact analysis after releases, tenant migrations, deployments and post-deployment validation, and support integration deployments and ISU administration.
• Work with HR and Finance stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable Workday solutions, configure Financials and HCM capabilities, and partner with Product Owners and technology teams on enhancements.
• Conduct impact assessments so changes do not affect downstream processes, integrations or security models, and support regression testing and rollout.
• Ensure solutions meet regulatory, audit and data privacy requirements, and continuously improve controls and governance.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Workday experience in Workday HCM and Workday Financials.
• Preferred: Workday HCM experience; Financials candidates with strong HCM knowledge and substantial security experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical thinking, ability to assess cross-functional impacts, and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
