HSE Senior Analyst - Safety in Design

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is hiring an HSE Senior Analyst in Singapore. The role centres on Safety in Design: reviewing architectural, engineering and construction drawings and specifications to identify hazards and ensure designs meet safety and code requirements across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, technical specifications, engineering drawings, floor layouts, elevations and life safety plans, applying Safety in Design principles and the hierarchy of controls
• Evaluate designs for safety across concept, design development, construction documentation, installation, commissioning, operations, maintenance and demolition
• Lead or take part in hazard identification and risk assessment workshops with architects, engineers, contractors and operators
• Check compliance with OSHA, NFPA, IBC, ADA and other local, national and international regulations
• Support regional HSE programs, monitor safety performance metrics and incident trends, and capture lessons learned
• Coordinate safety reviews, assign and manage safety tasks, and integrate safety across mechanical, electrical, occupational hygiene, process and materials safety
• Provide safety oversight during commissioning, startup and handover, and communicate technical HSE requirements clearly to stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, Science or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering and construction drawings and specifications
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment and control measures, and knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, IBC and ADA
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% to 25% domestically and internationally
• Certifications such as IOSH preferred; CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, CHMM, PMP, fire safety or emergency planning certifications highly desirable
