About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Human Resource Assistant to support our HR team across the full employee lifecycle. The role involves daily HR operations, payroll support, attendance verification, benefits administration and employee relations within a fast‑paced construction environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clerical and operational support to the HR team on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing, preparing data inputs and verifying timesheets and attendance records.
- Administer leave applications, monitor balances and process medical and expense claims.
- Prepare salary letters, manage staff welfare programmes and update related records.
- Support resignation and off‑boarding processes, including exit clearance, asset recovery and Work Pass requirements.
- Draft HR documentation such as warning letters and show‑cause notices while maintaining confidentiality.
- Handle government filings, statutory claims and tax submissions (e.g., IR21).
- Maintain employee records and HR databases accurately.
- Coordinate HR activities including meetings, training, surveys and employee events.
- Assist in HR and payroll audit preparations and contribute to internal projects or process improvements.
Required profile
- Minimum GCE “N”/“O” Levels, ITE or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in HR or payroll administration (advantageous).
- Basic understanding of HR functions and administrative processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
