About the role
This posting is for a Hybrid Bonding Interconnect (HBI) New Product Introduction (NPI) Instructor based in Singapore. The role combines technical instruction with deep product expertise, supporting both the Manufacturing Business Unit in Singapore and occasional work in Kalispell, MT.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver specialized NPI technical training both in‑house and at customer sites, including live distance learning, enhanced distance learning, and instructor‑led hands‑on sessions.
- Learn new tools, gain mechanical, electrical, software, and process knowledge, and create comprehensive training curricula, student guides, and supporting materials.
- Manage classroom and lab activities, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate on‑the‑job training for factory staff.
- Participate in the Product Development Process (PDP) to certify training readiness before tool shipment.
- Produce and update technical documentation, create Best Known Methods, and support Global Product Support with documentation generation.
- Coach and mentor junior instructors, lead project teams, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on first‑article builds and final testing.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, or equivalent military experience, plus at least 4 years of semiconductor equipment experience (or 6 years without a degree).
- Hands‑on experience with installation, programming, safety, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor machinery (robots, programmable controllers, power supplies, pneumatics, vacuum systems, high‑voltage/current systems).
- Experience delivering technical training or presentations to external customers; instructional‑design certification is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work flexible hours, including off‑shift and weekends as required.
Required skills
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment.
- Programming and operation of programmable controllers and robot controllers.
- Knowledge of power supplies, pneumatics, vacuum systems, high‑voltage and high‑current distribution.
- Use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
- Curriculum development and instructional design (course structure, materials, assessments).
- Project management for multi‑tool training development.
