IBDP Mandarin Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking an experienced Mandarin teacher for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The successful candidate will deliver engaging Mandarin language instruction, develop curriculum-aligned lesson plans, and support students in achieving high academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver inquiry‑based Mandarin lessons that align with IB curriculum guidelines and assessment standards.
• Create and adapt worksheets, handouts, and digital resources to support differentiated learning.
• Assess student work, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction based on formative and summative data.
• Integrate technology and blended‑learning tools to enhance classroom interaction.
• Participate in mentoring and supervision of the IB Extended Essay component for Mandarin.
• Uphold child‑protection policies, ensuring the safety and well‑being of all students.

Required profile

• Graduate or Bachelor in Education with a specialization in Mandarin language.
• 3‑5 years of teaching experience within the IB framework.
• Master’s degree or International Teaching Qualification recognized by the IB.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum‑aligned lesson plans and assessments.
