Indirect Tax GST Assistant Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Manager in Deloitte’s Indirect Tax team, you will deliver GST advisory and compliance services to a portfolio of clients, with a focus on the financial services sector. You will work closely with senior tax professionals to help clients navigate Singapore’s GST landscape and cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide GST advisory and compliance services, ensuring accurate filing and reporting for clients.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio, handling routine compliance as well as complex cross‑border transactions.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical development and professional growth.
• Advise clients on recent tax law changes, support them during tax audits, and liaise with IRAS.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for process improvement and business development.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Deloitte to deliver integrated tax and business solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Singapore GST advisory experience within an international accounting firm, in‑house tax team, legal practice, or IRAS.
• Prior experience in GST for financial services is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field; pursuing or holding SCTP/Chartered Tax Adviser accreditation.
• Excellent client‑facing, relationship‑building and business development abilities.
• Strong technical, analytical, organisational and project‑management skills, with a proactive, deadline‑focused attitude.
