Information and Security Officer

About the role

Libeara is seeking an Information and Security Officer to help build and maintain its information and cybersecurity programme. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will protect the technology environment, products, systems and data while ensuring secure, resilient services for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CISO in implementing the cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, policies and control framework.
• Conduct security risk assessments, monitor emerging threats and drive remediation actions.
• Lead day‑to‑day delivery of security assurance and certification programmes such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Oversee security controls across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, networks, identity and access management, and privileged access.
• Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to embed security throughout design, development, testing and deployment, driving Secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 7–10 years of information security or cybersecurity experience, preferably in financial services, fintech or a highly regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; experience with blockchain or digital assets is a plus.

• Secure Software Development Lifecycle (Secure SDLC) and DevSecOps.
• Vulnerability management and penetration testing.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) and privileged access controls.
• Security monitoring, incident response and remediation.
• Knowledge of containerisation, blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
