Intern, Data Analyst

About the role

This internship is with Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, building systems, energy efficiency and decarbonization. It reports to the Director, L&M Services, APAC and supports the program manager of APAC service growth initiatives and platforms by tracking, analysing and communicating performance to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy simulation models powered by machine learning tools to analyse business operations, identify regional trends and support revenue forecasting and capacity planning
• Design and implement BI dashboards in Power BI using DAX, and extract leading indicators from market activity
• Use SQL and Power Query for ETL and data modelling from multiple sources
• Turn business requirements into visualizations and reports
• Support the Program Management plan, including cadence planning, impact capturing and problem solving

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in business, engineering or data science and analytics
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of 6 months (preferred)
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail and strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences

Required skills

• Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Python or R for exploratory data analysis and predictive modelling (a plus)
• Salesforce familiarity is a plus; Snowflake knowledge is preferred
